Job Purpose

Full PPE required including :

Orange H-Vis Trousers

Orange H-Vis T-Shirt

Orange H-Vis Jumper

Orange H-Vis Coat

Orange H-Vis Waterproofs for wet days.

Boots and gloves will be provided by the client.

Valid Category C (HGV Class II) licence and Driver Qualification Card (CPC) – essential for operating heavy goods vehicles.

Experience carrying out vehicle safety checks and maintenance to ensure legal roadworthiness.

Strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures and road safety in traffic environments.

Ability to lead a small crew, give instructions, and manage performance on daily routes.

Competent in using in-cab systems and software to record service delivery and incidents.

Clear communication skills for working with team members and engaging with the public.

Flexible and physically fit, able to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and in all weather conditions.

Commitment to high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer service, representing the Council positively.
