Housing Officer for Older People
Job Description:
Contract to start ASAP until 31-03-27 with a possible extension.
Job purpose
The Council is focused on delivering the best possible outcomes for its residents.
To do this the Council needs employees who thrive in an agile and networked organisation and can provide a housing service that reflects the needs of its residents.
This means:
Delivering an integrated housing service at our schemes to older and vulnerable tenants and to work closely with other teams, councillors and Tenants & Residents Associations to achieve and maintain sustainable tenancies in sustainable communities, and ensure the safety and security of older and vulnerable residents.
Providing a proactive and customer focused housing management service across a designated area and ensuring that the Council fulfils its legal and contractual obligations to tenants and leaseholders.
Maintaining the wellbeing and safety of residents in their homes and shared spaces.
Acting as a regular and visible presence to customers, taking action to make sure that homes and communal areas are safe and well maintained and providing advice, information and reports on any housing management matter.
Championing resident and community engagement and involvement at all times.
The role reports directly to the Lead Officer for Housing for Older People(HfOP) and is responsible for providing a housing management service to an allocated patch of properties.
This will consist ofHfOP schemes and mixed tenure properties in the community. There is currently no line management responsibility.
