Job Description:

Contract to start ASAP until 30-01-27 with a possible extension.

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Executive Assistant to provide confidential, high-level support to the Chief Executive. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of the organisation, supporting senior leadership, coordinating key activities and ensuring the efficient operation of the Chief Executive's office.

The successful candidate will manage a busy and varied workload, acting as a key point of contact for senior managers, elected members, partner organisations and external stakeholders. You will exercise sound judgement, maintain strict confidentiality and provide professional support in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive, confidential executive support to the Chief Executive.
  • Manage a complex diary, meetings, correspondence and competing priorities.
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, reports, presentations and briefing papers.
  • Act as a key liaison between the Chief Executive, Members, Senior Leadership Team and external stakeholders.
  • Support governance processes, decision-making and corporate initiatives.
  • Organise high-level meetings, events and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure sensitive information is handled confidentially.
  • Support the continuous improvement of executive support services across the organisation.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the smooth operation of the Executive Support Team.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as an Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant or Senior Administrator supporting senior executives.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of discretion, professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and diary management systems.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with senior leaders, elected members and external stakeholders.
