Rostering Clerk
Job Description:
Contract to start ASAP until 31-03-26 with a possible extension.
JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for managing the rostering process to ensure that reablement referrals are coordinated in a timely and effective way.
Meeting agreed response times to provide an efficient and effective service which affords our service users with the best opportunity to achieve independence.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Co-ordinate all referrals and ensure that staff capacity is maximised at all times with minimal travel time in between calls.
Ensure rostering system is always up to date with relevant staffing information, e.g.
Holidays, sickness absence (staff availability), location and contracted hours to enable efficient and timely rostering.
Maintain and update IT systems and records to ensure rostering systems are used as effectively as possible.
Continually align resources across the service to meet both the demand and complexity of cases referred to the reablement service to ensure that such resources are targeted anc ised to optimum effect
Maintain effective relationships with and provide feedback to others involved in the care of customers, including relatives and carers in order to maintain the best possible service provision.
Contact service users or their relatives regarding offers of support coordinating starting dates and time.
With support and guidance from your manager be able to make appropriate and timely decisions.
Actively seek early resolution to any concerns raised ensuring the safety of the service user is paramount.
Feel empowered to challenge and question requests for support in an attempt to ensure a cost effective package of support is offered.
Liaise closely with Rapid/Community Reablement Manager, Senior Care Arranger Reablement Coordinators, a range of professionals and health colleagues in sourcing support or changes in service provision.
Collate weekly statistics for Team and Senior Managers in relation to activity within the service.
Identify area of service deficiency and identify areas with over capacity.
Check and process a range of information, scheduling, create service users folders, load information onto electronic systems, arrange initial assessments and process visits to ensure a timely start to the service.
