Contract to start ASAP until 13-09-26 with a possible extension.

Job Purpose

To be responsible for the provision of statutory social work and delivery of a range of services for children and young people who are in care and leaving care, improving outcomes through strategic leadership and operational delivery.

Ensuring that the service achieves good outcomes for children in care and leaving care supporting permanence at the earliest opportunity; ensuring stability of placements and developing independence skills for adulthood.

Create and build effective relationships internally and externally with key stakeholders to support collaboration with others.

Support service delivery for children with plans for adoption as the Registered Manager for the Voluntary Adoption Agency.

Responsibilities

As a member of the Bradford Children and Families Management Team, provide operational leadership, direction and service expertise developing and leading a child in care and leaving care service that meets statutory requirements.

To ensure that the service is fit for purpose and meets the requirements as set out in the inspection framework. positive outcomes for children and young people, including promoting high quality supervision of both staff and case work.

Contribute to the smooth and effective transfer and transitions for Children and Young People into Adulthood/Adult Services.

Improve outcomes for children and young people, using feedback and consultation with our children in the planning and delivery of evaluation of services.

To take a lead role in developing effective partnership arrangements with partner organisations exploring and developing opportunities for the integration of services.

Under the direction of the Assistant Director, to develop, champion and progress our Corporate Parenting function in relation to children and young people in care to drive positive outcomes.

In depth knowledge of legislation and policy relating to the care of children.

To be knowledgeable in Fostering Regulations 2011, National Minimum Standards and Care Planning Regulations.
