Contract to start ASAP until 31-10-26 with a possible extension.

JOB PURPOSE

To undertake physical and manual work to support the lead operative in general labouring such as fetching, carrying, cleaning of the site to allow effective completion of repairs.

This will include all building operations to properties, public and civic buildings owned or managed by Derby Homes.

This role will be based in any one of the following teams (Roofing, Gutter cleaning, fencing and Bricklaying) in which you will be expected to move from time to time to meets the needs and demands of the service

RESPONSIBILITIES

To undertake manual works as directed in relation to groundworks, fencing or roofing repairs, maintenance and renovations identified within the housing stock, schools and public buildings

To interpret design drawings and specifications

By using your own initiative, resolve were practical any minor or routine technical difficulties on site, liaising with your trade operative and/ or Supervisor as required.

Work within an appointment system including liaising with customer

To submit all worksheets and documents relating to job (electronically or by paper) within the required timescales.

To effectively contribute to the provision of accurate records for time, schedule of rates (SORs) and materials to each work order, including the effective receipting of all material advice notes.
