Contract to start ASAP

Duration: 18 weeks with a possible extension.

Job Purpose:
The Scheduler – Repairs is responsible for coordinating and scheduling repair and maintenance work for council properties.

The role ensures that repair requests are logged, prioritised, and assigned to the appropriate contractors or maintenance teams, delivering efficient and timely services to residents.

Responsibilities

Receive and process repair requests from tenants, residents, and council departments.

Schedule repair and maintenance appointments for operatives and contractors.

Prioritise urgent and emergency repairs in line with council policies and procedures.

Update housing or maintenance management systems with repair details and job progress.

Liaise with tenants to confirm appointment dates and provide updates on repair works.

Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure efficient allocation of jobs.

Monitor job completion and ensure repairs are carried out within agreed service standards.

Maintain accurate records of repairs, appointments, and contractor performance.

Provide administrative support to the repairs and maintenance team when required.

Ensure excellent customer service when communicating with residents and stakeholders.
