Job Purpose

To plan, deliver, and assess high-quality adult learning programmes that support learners in developing skills, confidence, employability, and personal growth.

The Adult Learning Tutor will create an inclusive and engaging learning environment while supporting learners to achieve their educational goals.

Responsibilities

Deliver engaging teaching sessions to adult learners in line with curriculum requirements and learning objectives.

Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessment activities appropriate to learner needs and abilities.

Support learners in achieving qualifications, personal development goals, and progression opportunities.

Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback and guidance.

Maintain accurate learner records, attendance registers, assessment documentation, and reports.

Adapt teaching approaches to support learners with differing abilities, backgrounds, and additional needs.

Promote equality, diversity, inclusion, and safeguarding within all learning activities.

Support learners in developing confidence, employability skills, and independent learning.

Participate in curriculum development, quality assurance activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
