Estate Services Manager - Ground Maintenance

Duration: 12 weeks with a possible extension.
Job Purpose
The Estate Services Manager – Ground Maintenance is responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality grounds maintenance and estate services across Southern Housings properties.
The role ensures that outdoor spaces are safe, clean, attractive, and well maintained, supporting resident satisfaction and community wellbeing.
Responsibilities
Manage and supervise grounds maintenance and estate services teams and contractors.
Ensure all estates, green spaces, and communal areas are maintained to agreed standards.
Plan, schedule, and monitor grounds maintenance programmes, including landscaping, grass cutting, pruning, and seasonal works.
Carry out regular inspections and audits of estates to ensure compliance with service standards.
Address resident enquiries and complaints related to estate and grounds services promptly and professionally.
Monitor performance against KPIs and service level agreements (SLAs).
Manage budgets and control expenditure for grounds maintenance services.
Procure and manage external contractors in line with organisational policies.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and environmental standards.
Prepare reports on service delivery, performance, and improvement actions.
Work collaboratively with housing officers, contractors, and other internal teams.
Support sustainability and biodiversity initiatives across estates.
C1 Licence is not required. just a clean manual licence is needed
