Contract to start ASAP

Duration: 12 weeks with a possible extension.

Job Purpose

To provide a consistent service to families with the aim of achieving high quality Family Time (contact) between children and their families, either within our Contact Centres/ Children and Family Centres or in the local community, and occasionally in the family home.

Initially based at Royston Children's Contact Centre but with an expectation to work across alternative venues in Bromley.

Responsibilities

Supervise contact sessions between children and parents/carers in line with court orders and care plans

Ensure the safety and wellbeing of children during all supervised contact

Observe and record interactions objectively, producing clear and concise reports

Promote positive parenting and support appropriate family relationships

Intervene where necessary to manage conflict or safeguard the child

Prepare contact rooms and ensure a safe, welcoming environment

Liaise with social workers, family members, and other professionals

Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures

Report any concerns regarding child protection immediately
