Job Description:
Contract to start ASAP until 10-05-26 with a possible extension.
Job Purpose
To provide a high-quality, customer-focused service to residents, visitors, and stakeholders by responding to enquiries, resolving issues, and delivering accurate information across multiple service channels.
The role supports the Councils commitment to accessible, efficient, and responsive public services.
Responsibilities
Act as the first point of contact for customers via telephone, email, face-to-face, and digital platforms.
Handle enquiries related to council services including housing, council tax, waste management, benefits, and community services.
Provide accurate information and guidance in line with council policies and procedures.
Resolve customer issues at first point of contact where possible, escalating complex cases when necessary.
Record, update, and maintain customer information using internal systems.
Process applications, payments, and service requests efficiently and accurately.
Manage complaints and feedback professionally, ensuring timely responses.
Work collaboratively with internal departments to ensure customer needs are met.
