Job Purpose

The SHIFT Lead Guide will be an expert practitioner with leadership experience to deliver exceptional outcomes for children within a fast paced, high trust and high expectation culture.

You work as a practising leader, modelling high quality practice with three children or young people caught up in, or at risk of, crime or exploitation, delivering tenacious, flexible, dynamic and proactive interventions, using the Breaking Cycles ingredients.

You will support the Practice to deliver support to young people in creative and dynamic ways, in places and timings that best fit the needs of the young people to increase the likelihood of engagement, including planned and meaningful evening and weekend work as part of the teams duty rota.

You will support the Manager in the professional development and practice supervision of the Guides, leading and developing weekly Child and Family Practice Meetings and ensuring monthly data evaluation reports are submitted by the Guides.

You will embed a continuous learning ethos within the SHIFT Practice, including reflective discussions, training and learning events, demonstrating and maintaining healthy and professional boundaries.

You will lead the Practice and support collective decision making, contributing to the development of SHIFT nationally, working closely with the SHIFT Practice Development Leads.

You will work closely with other professionals as an advocate for the SHIFT Practice and creatively contribute to wider system change across agencies.
