Duration: 8 weeks with a possible extension.

Job Purpose

To maintain and enhance public outdoor spaces across the city, ensuring parks, green areas, and communal environments are clean, safe, and visually appealing for residents and visitors.

Responsibilities

Carry out routine grounds maintenance including grass cutting, strimming, hedge trimming, and pruning.

Maintain flower beds, shrubs, and landscaped areas.

Litter picking and emptying of public bins to keep areas clean and presentable.

Operate and maintain grounds maintenance equipment and machinery safely.

Assist with seasonal tasks such as planting, leaf clearance, and gritting during winter.

Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.

Identify and report hazards, damage, or maintenance issues.

Support the upkeep of sports pitches, cemeteries, and recreational areas where required.

Full UK driving licence (desirable)
