Job Purpose

To provide general labouring support to trade operatives and maintenance teams in the delivery of responsive repairs, void works, and planned maintenance across Derby Homes properties, ensuring homes are safe, clean, and maintained to required standards.

Responsibilities

Assist skilled trades operatives (e.g., plumbers, electricians, carpenters) on site.

Carry out basic maintenance tasks and minor repairs as directed.

Clear and prepare void properties for refurbishment works.

Remove waste materials, debris, and old fixtures in line with safe disposal procedures.

Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment.

Maintain clean and safe working environments within occupied and void properties.

Follow health & safety procedures, including manual handling and PPE requirements.

Report hazards, defects, or safeguarding concerns to supervisors.

Support emergency or urgent repair works when required.

Full UK Driving Licence (desirable).
