Job Description:

Contract to start ASAP until 31-07-25 with a possible extension.

Job Purpose

The Court of protection (COP) 6month temp - will focus on the following key areas:

COP Case Management: Concentrate on the COP cases currently managed by Adult Social Care

Cases with a 12-week disregard that has extended beyond the initial 12 weeks.

Initiate revised interim funding arrangements ( COP funding and property cases )

Disputed Cases: Work collaboratively with the Brokerage Team, Processing Team, and Financial Assessment Team on disputed cases.

Appointeeship Cases: Prioritise appointeeship cases where savings exceed £50,000 and require a deputyship application to be initiated.

Administrative Support: Provide support for administrative tasks within the ASC Collections Team where feasible.

Any other ad hoc duties as advised by the ASC Finance Hub Manager.

Stakeholder Engagement

The COP Officer will be required to liaise with the following key stakeholders:

LBS Lawyers
Adult Social Care (ASC) Teams
Finance Hub Teams colleagues
