Job Purpose

The Plasterer is responsible for carrying out high-quality plastering and associated repair works to residential properties managed by Derby Homes Limited.

The postholder will undertake responsive repairs, planned maintenance, and void property works, ensuring all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard, contributing to excellent customer service and well-maintained homes.

Responsibilities

Carry out a full range of plastering works, including skimming, patch repairs, rendering, float and set, dry lining, and ceiling repairs.

Prepare surfaces by removing damaged plaster, cleaning, and applying appropriate bonding materials.

Repair walls, ceilings, partitions, and other internal and external surfaces following maintenance or refurbishment work.

Undertake plastering work in occupied and void properties, minimizing disruption to residents.

Complete associated minor building repairs where required to support plastering activities.

Ensure all work is completed to agreed quality standards and within allocated timescales.

Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with company standards and customer expectations.

Use and maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles responsibly, reporting defects promptly.

Maintain accurate records of completed work using electronic or paper-based job management systems.

Communicate professionally with tenants, colleagues, contractors, and supervisors, providing excellent customer service.

• Full UK driving licence.
