Brokerage Officer
Job Description:
Contract to start ASAP until 24-07-26 with a possible extension.
Job Purpose
To support the effective commissioning and purchasing of care and support services for children, young people, and adults, ensuring value for money, quality of provision, and positive outcomes in line with Royal Borough of Kingston policies and statutory responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Source, negotiate, and commission appropriate care packages and placements in line with assessed needs.
Work closely with social workers, commissioners, and providers to secure timely and cost-effective services.
Maintain accurate records of placements, contracts, and financial commitments.
Monitor and review placements to ensure quality, compliance, and value for money.
Process purchase orders, invoices, and payments in accordance with financial procedures.
Liaise with service providers to resolve contractual, quality, and performance issues.
Support market development by identifying gaps in provision and contributing to commissioning strategies.
Ensure compliance with safeguarding, data protection, and council policies.
