Job Description:

Contract to start ASAP

Duration: 12 weeks with a possible extension.

Responsibilities

Manage cases through to the lawful conclusion of duties

Review evidence, case history and PHP actions to determine whether duties can be ended.

Prepare statutory notifications and ensure decisions are lawful, timely and clearly reasoned.

Ensure residents understand their rights, duties and next steps.

Deliver high-quality assessments and decision-making

Assess whether prevention, relief or main duties have been met, refused, withdrawn or ended.

Apply legislation, statutory guidance and case law under supervision.

Ensure decisions are defensible and supported by clear written reasoning.

Maintain and update Personal Housing Plans (PHPs)

Ensure PHPs are accurate, meaningful and updated before any cessation decision.

Record actions, risks and changes in circumstances.

Support residents to understand and engage with their PHP.

Identify and escalate risk, safeguarding and vulnerability

Identify concerns relating to domestic abuse, exploitation, mental ill-health or other vulnerabilities.

Escalate high-risk cases to the Manager and participate in multi-agency processes.

Record risk clearly and ensure appropriate follow-up

Communicate clearly and sensitively with resident

Explain decisions, rights and next steps in accessible language.

Contribute to continuous improvement

Identify themes from casework, complaints and resident feedback.

Support service improvements and share learning with colleagues.

Participate in training, reflective supervision and CPD.
