Employment Support Manager
Job Description:
Contract to start ASAP
Duration: 5 weeks with a possible extension.
Job Purpose
To lead and manage employment support services that help residents and service users access, sustain, and progress in employment, education, and training.
The postholder will oversee programme delivery, manage a team of advisors, build employer partnerships, and ensure high-quality, outcome-focused services aligned with organisational objectives.
Responsibilities
Lead, motivate, and manage a team of Employment Advisors/Coaches, setting clear objectives and monitoring performance.
Design, implement, and continuously improve employment support programmes (e.g., job readiness, skills training, apprenticeships, and employer engagement initiatives).
Build and maintain partnerships with local employers, training providers, Jobcentre Plus, and community organisations.
Oversee caseload management, ensuring effective assessments, action plans, and regular reviews for service users.
Monitor KPIs and outcomes (e.g., job starts, sustained employment, qualifications achieved) and report to senior management.
Manage budgets, funding streams, and contracts where applicable, ensuring compliance and value for money.
Ensure services meet safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion standards, and comply with relevant legislation (e.g., data protection).
