Job Purpose

To provide a high standard of cleaning and hygiene within school premises managed by Nottingham City Council, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

Clean classrooms, corridors, offices, toilets, halls, and communal areas.

Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors.

Dust and wipe furniture, fixtures, and fittings.

Empty bins and dispose of waste safely.

Clean and sanitise washrooms and kitchen areas.

Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls.

Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and correctly.

Follow infection control and hygiene standards.

Report maintenance issues, damage, or hazards.

Lock and unlock areas where required.

Follow site security and safeguarding procedures.

Work efficiently to agreed schedules and standards.

Provide a polite and professional service within the school environment.

Monday - Friday, Term Time only

3:15pm - 5:15pm

Candidates must hold Enhanced DBS with Child Barring list checks

Candidate must bring photo ID to work each day
