EHCP Officer
Job Description:
Contract to start ASAP
Duration: 12 weeks with a possible extension.
Responsibilities
Complete social care advice for EHCPs in line with statutory requirements
Undertake telephone assessments with families and professionals
Gather, analyse and record accurate information using Trust systems
Liaise with parents, carers, professionals and partner agencies
Manage a caseload of referrals, ensuring deadlines are consistently met
Apply a child-centred and strengths-based approach in all work
Signpost families to relevant Early Help and support services
Maintain clear, timely communication and share advice with families
Identify and respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns
Deliver high-quality work in line with the SEND Code of Practice and statutory timescales
Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism in all records and communication
Effectively manage workload and competing priorities
Promote the safeguarding and welfare of children and young people
Work collaboratively across services to achieve the best outcomes for children
Other activities commensurate with this Job Description may from time to time be undertaken by the post holder.
