Housing Needs and Homelessness Finance Officer
Job Description:
Contract to start ASAP until 18-09-26 with a possible extension.
JOB PURPOSE:
To work as a proactive member of the Temporary Accommodation Team, providing dedicated financial administration support for all Temporary Accommodation placements and related expenditure.
The post holder is responsible for processing supplier invoices, raising purchase requisitions, creating Purchase Orders (POs), receipting goods/services within the inance system, and ensuring accurate and timely payments to accommodation providers.
This role ensures compliance with Financial Regulations, Contract Standing Orders, and audit requirements, while maintaining robust financial control and supporting effective budget management within the Temporary Accommodation service.
The post holder will handle high volumes of financial transactions and work closely with Housing Needs & Homelessness officers, Finance Business Partners, and accommodation providers to ensure accuracy, transparency, and value for money.
To assist Deputy Directors, Heads of Service, Finance Managers, Business Partners and Assistant Business Partners in maintaining the accuracy of Oracle data.
The post holder will be expected to handle high volumes of data and work closely with financial and non-financial stakeholders providing effective challenge as required.
