Job Purpose

To provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to individuals, enabling them to maintain their independence, dignity, and wellbeing.

The Care Worker will assist service users with daily living activities while promoting choice, inclusion, and safeguarding in line with Enfield Council policies and relevant legislation.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.

Support service users with mobility and safe moving and handling techniques.

Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and maintaining adequate nutrition and hydration.

Administer or assist with medication in accordance with organisational policies and training.

Support individuals with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping.

Encourage independence and participation in social, recreational, and community activities.

Build positive, respectful relationships with service users, their families, and other professionals.

Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in health, behaviour, or wellbeing.

Follow safeguarding procedures and report concerns promptly.

Adhere to health and safety regulations, infection prevention and control procedures, and risk assessments.

Maintain confidentiality and comply with GDPR and data protection requirements.

Participate in team meetings, supervision sessions, and mandatory training.

Work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays where required.

Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
