Duration: 109 days with a possible extension.

Job Purpose

To provide efficient, effective, and economic multi-skilled repairs to 8 Leisure properties across the London borough of Southwark

To self-manage work within the requirements of the delivery; liaising with General Managers to enable the smooth running and completion of each job, providing diagnoses and making recommendations regarding the remedial work required to defects.

This role will involve a variety of tasks including repairs, installations, and maintenance of equipment and facilities to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our service users and staff.

Responsibilities

Responsible for managing the Facilities Management (FM) reactive maintenance programme across the 8 Leisure centres.

Promoting a collaborative approach in the development of robust relationships with Operational managers, building managers and end users to ensure compliance with statutory and mandatory legislation.

Carry out to the highest standard all aspects of repair / renewal work to items in various trades such as ground works, carpentry, plumbing, glazing and finishing trades (painting & decorating, plastering / tilling).

Undertake a broad range of multi-skilled repair activities to provide a comprehensive repair service

Responsible for ensuring the Leisure center roof areas are well maintained.

This includes identifying and repairing the source of leaks, removing dirt and debris from guttering, replacing shingles and improving insulation to prevent heat loss.

Undertake day to day plumbing and electrical works in a safe manner to minimize service disruptions and ensure better customer experience, such as installing new taps, sinks and toilets, and repairing leaks.

Undertake general landscaping duties such as mowing lawns, trimming hedges, bushes and trees, weeding, watering flower beds and repairing border walls and fences to ensure these spaces remain safe, usable and inviting to the public.

Repair equipment or appliances to ensure safe operation and maintain service standards that comply with statutory requirements including Health & Safety regulations.

And any ad hoc reasonable additional duties as assigned to allow safe routes to and around leisure centres.

Work collaboratively with external contractors and expert tradespeople on works such as electrical, plumbing or HVAC repairs, in providing safe buildings for our customers
