Educational Psychologist
Job Description:
Contract to start ASAP until 29-08-26 with a possible extension.
Job Purpose
To support children and young people in achieving positive educational, emotional, and developmental outcomes through the application of psychological theory, assessment, and intervention.
The Educational Psychologist will work collaboratively with schools, families, and multi-agency professionals to promote inclusion, wellbeing, and effective learning environments.
Responsibilities
Conduct psychological assessments for children and young people experiencing learning, emotional, behavioural, or developmental difficulties.
Provide advice and evidence-based interventions to schools, parents, carers, and professionals.
Support statutory assessments and contribute to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, social workers, health professionals, and external agencies.
Deliver consultation, training, and workshops to school staff and stakeholders.
Promote inclusive practices and support schools in meeting the needs of pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Undertake direct work with children and young people individually or in groups where appropriate.
Maintain accurate case records, reports, and professional documentation in line with service standards.
