Job Purpose

To support the preparation and delivery of meals within school kitchens, ensuring high standards of food hygiene, safety, and service for pupils and staff.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and serving of meals in line with menus and nutritional standards.

Set up dining areas and ensure food is presented appropriately.

Clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.

Wash dishes and ensure proper storage of kitchen items.

Follow food hygiene, health & safety, and allergen regulations at all times.

Support stock control, including receiving and storing deliveries.

Work as part of a team to ensure efficient kitchen operations.

Provide a friendly and helpful service to pupils and staff.
