Duration: 80 weeks with a possible extension.

Job Purpose

To assist the Contract Manager (CM) and be responsible for specific elements of the day to day contract management and administration of the Residual Waste Treatment Contract (the Contract) on behalf of Devon County Council, Torbay Council and Plymouth City Council acting as the South West Devon Waste Partnership (SWDWP).

To contribute to the provision of a professional and well managed interface between the Contractor and SWDWP Councils ensuring high levels of communication, operational efficiency, performance and cost effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

Provide and support effective day to day management of the Contract directly or by assisting the SWDWP Contract Manager and Authority Representative in accordance with agreed delegations

Directly monitor, assist and report to Contract Manager and partner Councils on specific commercial, financial and service performance elements of the Contract and SWDWP waste service functions such as

Reconciling and verifying tonnage data, administering financial transactions and ensuring compliance with agreed contractual waste acceptance protocols

Provide reports, advice, and information and attend meetings as requested by the Contract Manager, Authority Representative or the partner Councils

Collate, monitor and provide timely reports on contract budgets and forecasts, including administering, verifying, auditing data records, and organising and

Effective control and management of contract data and records

Visitor and school usage and satisfaction levels recommending payments due under the Contract and between partner Councils (15%)
